Katy attended two birthday parties on Saturday. One at Maggie Moo's Ice Cream parlor where the Maggie Moo cow showed up in costume! Julia's little girl Natalie turned five and Katy fell asleep in the car on the way to the big event. Then she was tired and wouldn't participate. And when the giant cow showed up - that was the last straw! She was scared of it! One thing that cracked me up...Natalie opened up a Barbie doll, set it aside and said, "Oh - a Barbie. I already have one of those." Ahhh hahahaha! Kids and their unsolicited honesty!
John Boy, Keith, Sarah, Chris, Amy, Laura, Emily and Abby all came to stay with Mom and Grandma this weekend. We celebrated Emily and Abby's birthday, and I guess mine and Laura's but when you're not wearing cake on your face or a pretty princess dress, it's hard to get into the party. Laura is such a great mom! She spread two tablecloths across Mom's dining room table. One was a princess theme for Emily and a ducky one for Abigator. That's right - two separate parties! She had Emily address the invitations to everyone that coordinated to the them. Then she picked up two dozen balloons, and most of them even made it home from the store. Party, party, party!
I think Mom was relieved to have the house back to herself again (almost). Today Grandma and I went to Walmart and Katy was not in a shopping mood. It was one of her few times to misbehave in public. I guess I can let her slide every so often. I ended up buying her a couple books that I otherwise wouldn't have - just trying to keep her happy. Bribery...already!
I think that's it for now. Pedro needs the computer.

That picture of Pete is so cute! Sounds like you are keeping busy...is there any rest for us weary?
