Halloween was fabulous but a little anticlimactic. Allen was wearing his onsie that says "Handsome" and he was being super cute before I put his costume on him. He was pushing up on his strong little arms and almost rolling over. He looked so proud of himself!

So we arrived at the church for our trunk or treat and I tried to shoot the two kids together before things kicked off. No luck. Katy was not acting like the professional model that I know she can be. She had a three hour nap but still seemed tired. She wouldn't even walk from car to car, but rode in the stroller with Allen. Good thing we had the double one! Allen didn't seem to notice anything out of the ordinary but Katy was very concerned when she saw any scary looking costumes. Mom was supposed to go with us but couldn't at the last minute. And we were supposed to meet up with Amy F and Joy but we never found them there, either. Luckily Juan & Kourtney came for a bit and fussed over our costumes. It helped make the whole night worth it!

From there we drove out to Jerry & Kathy's house where they were being mobbed by trick or treaters. Rico was tied up near the front door and loving all the attention. Then Kathy presented Katy with a miniature Rico dog (complete with matching hoodie and pants). Katy has carried that thing everywhere with her since then. She loves it! She even tried to make him take a bath with her last night, which would have been helpful since she let him taste her blue yogurt earlier in the day.

After all that fun we headed for Sorority Row but by then it was 8pm and Katy was exhausted. Allen would have been up for the fun. He was just hanging out in his monkey costume. But Katy wanted to climb up the ornate staircases of the sorority houses (who doesn't) and she went "boneless" when I scooped her up. I would give her a 10 for showmanship: shrieking, kicking, taking other kids' toys...the whole works! Needless to say, there are no photos from that part of the night.

This morning we went to a nearby park and Katy wanted Allen to be pushed in the "baby fwing". She doesn't say swing with an "s" and it cracks me up. Usually "s" isn't a problem for her so I'm not too worried. Allen got "hunger" as Katy would say, so we had to head home earlier than expected. To convince Katy to leave the park, we looked for duck eggs along the edge of the pond. Since then she keeps asking me to go look for more baby duck eggs. She says "that fun!" which is really the highest compliment something can get from Katy.
