Happy Valentines Day!!
Whew! I have been on blogcation due to slight insanity. Nothing major yet...just headed that general direction. I love that several other people are on the ride with me. The more, the merrier.

On Superbowl Sunday we visited our friends Ryan & McKenzie for a fabulous, kid-friendly Superbowl party.

The next day we visited Dad in Houston for no particular reason at all. We went to the park and just hung out. Katy saw Dad walking a neighbor's dog and now everyt time she hears a dog barking she insists, "Dat's Gramp's dog!"

On Thursday I toured Katy's future pre-school and I love it! The amenties include: a garden, a pond, great playground, and loving teachers who aren't afraid of letting Katy use finger paints or play dough.
On Saturday Peter, Mom and I dragged the kiddos to Sam's for some diaper and formula shopping. Then Mom watched Katy for me while Peter worked. Allen and I went to Helen's birthday party at the bowling alley. Allen was the hit of the night!
Sunday I kept both kids home from church due to their runny noses, cough & congestion. Katy wasn't nearly as bad as Allen. Peter went to represent the family and he probably enjoyed the break from work and kids. He's been working till 9 or 10pm for the past two weeks. Lovely.
On Monday of this week Katy attended her Sweet Pea dance class for two to three year olds. It was hilariously adorable! She wouldn't stay on ther "x" and kept moving around between the well behaved girls, running and laughing. She thought it was great! By the end of the 45 minute class I think she was doing much more dancing and less running. In honor of her cousin Emily, I did Katy's hair up in two little buns!

Somewhere in there Mom made a luscious lemon meringue pie. She is always bringing us soups or dinners or desserts. Yum! I must be the spoiled daughter. Let me think...hmmm....yes, I definitely am!
Today we took Allen in for his nine month appointment. He had only gained a little over a pound, so he weighs 23 pounds, but he grew 2-1/2 inches! Wowsa! So, to all those who have mentioned how long and skinny he is getting, I must confess that he has been on the Alli diet - just kidding! The doctor pronounced him to be perfect, and I must agree. Even his hair is growing in perfectly. He has been congested for a while now so she started him on an antibiotic. We'll see if I can escape from snotty shirts for a bit.

Tomorrow is Laura's birthday (I'm sure she's turning 29 again, just like Delma always does) and I hope she has a wonderful day! We are headed to the Woodlands for Katy's one month post-op appointment. I hope I remember to bring her glasses because I've been forgetting them completely in the past few days.

If I suddenly come up missing in the next few days, please know that Peter is probably responsible. He is none too pleased about his one and only son, heir to the throne, dressed up like cupid. I am completely smitten!
