I couldn't let Mom down one more morning in a row. She says she is disappointed when there is no fresh blog for her viewing pleasure, so when crabby cakes woke me up today at 6am, I came in and turned on the computer. It's becoming a sickness for me. Please don't schedule an intervention. I would probably take photos of my own intervention, and then blog about it. If the camera was still clicking away as it was wrestled out of my grip, I guess that would create some interesting photos.
Last night was my final Enrichment evening for 2006! Yea! The evening was mainly successful but, due to my recent absence, many of the "little things" went by the wayside. It felt hectic all evening and the theme was relaxation for a "Care-of-Being" cruise. Hopefully the guests for the evening weren't stressed out. I'm sure it didn't help that I dragged each one up to the front of the room to push a plate across the floor with a broom, my last minute version of shuffleboard. I even made Marjean do it with her bad shoulder and her intense dislike of being in front of everyone. She was a great sport! On a side note, I wore a black skirt with knee highs and the slit in the skirt showed off white flashes of my knee all night. Fabulous.
Mom took some time off from work yesterday afternoon b/c she was dying to see Katy. She didn't feel very good, either but that didn't stop her from playing with the Bird. Katy and I watched Mom get out of her car and then Katy practically raced out the front door to get to her. I think that being out of town is making Katy appreciate her grandparents that she has in town, as well as all her favorite toys.
I headed to the church to set up for the activity and Peter picked Katy up from there. As we traded cars I told him, "Katy hasn't napped yet, she is due to eat and needs her diaper changed." He is so good to me...just smiled and said ok. Of course, I probably had a crazy look in my eyes at the time that may have scared him. Or else he is just an understanding hubby. Did I mention that he failed to scoop the kitty box the entire time I was gone? Yummylicious!

I just have to share some of Laura's great professional photos. She is so good about bringing her monkeys in for regular portraits. I guess I should let her post them, but who knows when that would happen. Aren't the little ladies good at smiling for the camera? And in case you didn't notice, Abby is pulling a "Gig'em Aggies". Whoop!
More later at a decent hour of the day...like maybe midnight.
