Merry Christmas!

I haven't blogged since Saturday (Dec 23rd) and now it's Wednesday, but I've been very busy. And I really should be doing so many other things but instead I've been downloading the photos from my camera and touching them up.
Well, I'm sure I will forget a ton of stuff but here is what I remember from the past few days. Sunday Peter, Katy and I went to church and then to Mom's house to hang out with Sarah and Keith, John and Mom. Chris and Amy arrived shortly. We partied until 5pm when it was time for the traditional Christmas Eve dinner at Warren and Marjean's house. I forgot to take some photos but we had a great time with Jerry & Kathy's family there, too. We opened presents after dinner and we were super-spoiled! Especially Katy!
Next Peter, Katy and I headed back over to Mom's house. We partied late and then went home. Monday morning (Christmas day) we opened our own presents to one another. Since we just did San Fran it was a fairly modest Christmas this year, which is just fine. Katy actually tore the wrapping paper herself and she really got into it! She now has lots of "bow wow's" and books and toys galore! Katy's birth mom Marie actually sent the perfect gift. I forgot to ask for a MagnaDoodle for Katy, but that's what Marie sent and she loves it! We played with it all weekend, including adults! After that we stopped by Jerry and Kathy's house to see what kind of loot they got. Karli's mouth hurt from her root canal but she was still so good with Katy...she is adorable! Jason had to work and Jake was missing Hillary. Jerry bought Kathy a diamond ring so they were both looking pretty pleased!
Laura and Mike's clan arrived Monday afternoon and we dove into our presents! Sarah and Keith had our name this year and they were WAY too generous!
They had already given Katy a bunch of clothes while they babysat her for our San Fran trip, including this cute little pink velour number. The living room was a mess! At some point during the day I called Dad to wish him a Merry Christmas. Chris and Amy gave the game Hungry, Hungry Hippos to Emily and they played it all night.
Someone else (Sarah?) gave her silly string and poor Katy was an unwilling participant in a silly string party!
Emily made it up to her later by hosting another "Lucky Charms" party on Mom's kitchen mat. It's becoming a tradition!
Late that night Kelli and her fiance James arrived. They had just gotten engaged the day before. Mom's house was over flowing so James and Kelli stayed with us...just to sleep. I didn't have to cook a thing! Mom had delicious meals for us, although Katy just wanted to "bird" food off other people. She didn't want to sit down for a meal. Chris and Amy had to go home that night but a Laura, Peter, Sarah, Emily and I played Balderdash...Peter won and I was last place.
OK, I guess we're on to Tuesday...yesterday. It's actually starting to blur for me. I know Katy followed Emily all around the house and Sarah said that listening to them fight was the best birth control in the world.
We watched some movies. Some people snoozed...and snoozed some more! I know Emily said tons of cute stuff but I can't remember anything specific. She really made us laugh!
We did a quick photo shoot of the girls in their
Santa dresses.
Abby is such a good little baby! She is still "RBW" to us - Raised by Wolves - because she pretty much minds her own business and crawls around on the floor! She looks more like Kelli to me than Emily does.

Then today we snapped the girls in their sweaters. We tried to straighten up Mom's house a little. Packing up Laura and Mike's stuff took about an hour. It's amazing how much you need when you travel with kids, plus they added all their Christmas presents. Finally, Laura's family, Mom and Katy and I went out to Pei Wei for a delicious Chinese lunch. Mike and Laura headed home from there and I dropped Mom off at her house.
When I came home I unpacked the car and did some house stuff while Katy napped. When she woke up we played with some of her new Christmas toys. She was in such a good mood! And then tonight Warren and Marjean surprised us by stopping by after a concert at the church.
Now I am really tired and I have to stop blogging. We had a wonderful Christmas and we feel so blessed to have all the family and friends who love us! We love them, too! Katy is such a daily miracle for us!
