Short & sweet...Katy was a perfect angel all day, so even though it was an action-packed day, at least she didn't contribute to the stress.
The two dead trees in the front yard are now chopped down. That's a biggie to scratch off the ol' TO DO list.
We officially had a wonderful play date with Joe, Susan and their kids. We all met up at Papacito's and then Joe went back to work while the rest of us played at the kiddie section in the mall. All the kids got along great and I snapped some awesome "cousin" pictures. We will definitely do this again some time. I haven't seen Susan for almost one year (in Feb) and she cried at the beginning and end of our visit. Pretty amazing stuff. At one point, a total stranger leaned over and told Susan that her little girl was cute, but pointed to Katy and said, "That little girl looks EXACTLY like her mother. Did her father do anything to help with those features? All I see is her mother!" Susan told me the woman's comment and then said she knew we were meant for one another...Katy, Peter and me. Of course, I could only agree!
And finally, Grandma's flight was delayed by 30 minutes. I parked at the wrong terminal and had to hustle with Katybird on a tram to get to the right one. Airport security + sleeping baby in a stroller = no nap for baby. The roads were wet all the way home, but I don't think they were icy.
OK, this wasn't short. I just had to record stuff for Miss Katybird to read someday - in case I forget. These days just fly by!
