Well, anyone who has had recent contact with me can testify that things have been a little hairy here. Peter has relapsed so I thought he came home from work at 4:30 to help me with a crabby Katy, but instead he needed to take a nap. We may both have what Katy has. I wonder if she's willing to share her antibiotic? Which, by the way, has caused her to break out in red spots. The nurse hotline assured me that 5% of kids react that way and it's not an allergy to the meds unless she's itching them or they turn purple. We've had two trips to the doc and two calls to the hotline this week. I guess we're making up for lost time. Overall Katy is improving and hasn't had fever today or yesterday. I just feel so helpless because Amy F. is trying to pack and move tomorrow and I don't feel like I can get over there to help her. I haven't even been able to visit Julia's baby. Thankfully Allen is a ROCK and just steadfastly refuses to get sick (knock on wood) even though Katy kisses him on the face before I can stop her.

Well, I'm off to perform rounds in the sick bay.
