Good news and bad news. I'll start with the bad to get it over with. Dad went through the angiogram today but they skipped the stents and angioplasty because his heart was too clogged. He will stay in the hospital until Monday when he will undergo a triple bypass. Then he'll need to stay for another six or seven days, plus lots of bed rest at home. He lives on the second floor, so this should be interesting. Anyway, it totally took me by surprise.


The good news is that, prior to the angiogram, Dad and I took Katy to www.picturepeople.com for some sponteous photos. I've been wanting to try this place, and timing-wise it just seemed to work out. We went to the Galleria and found an adorable brown velvet dress with red trim that was 50% off at Baby Gap. The store next to Picture People had a foxy red hair ribbon and I already had brown shoes so we were in business. Katy was completely hilarious. All the girls who work the shop came over to laugh at her antics. I'll let you be the judge of the results... These pics are scanned copies so not as clear as the real thing, but at $18 per 8x10, that's the best I can do for you. *Ü* The one where Katy is saying "I don't know" was a last-minute purchase. She does that all the time so I just had to have it.

Thanks for all your concern about my Dad. I will be headed back to Houston Sunday night for the Monday procedure.
