Peter doesn't want me to get sick for our trip so I'm going to bed soon. This morning Katy and I went to the post office and then attended a Christmas luncheon hosted by some friends. They gave Katy a miniature stuffed puppy dog and she just went crazy! It's wearing a long stocking cap so while driving home I twirled the dog around by the cap and she died laughing! I think it should be one of our "car toys".

I definitely did not spend enough time drinking in Katy before we leave. Rush, rush, rush! She will be my best Christmas present EVER when we finally get back! Mom watched her for me tonight while I attended a Christmas dinner. Since we started late and had a white elephant gift exchange, I didn't get home until 9:30. Poor Mom was asleep on the sofa and she had to get the Bird down for the night. It sounds like they had lots of fun!

Tonight my Dad called and said he is back in the hospital again with too much fluid in his chest. That sounds scary but at least he's getting medical attention for it. Hopefully he will be released tomorrow. Once he gets all that fluid out he should be able to breathe easier and feel better.
