Katy received a baby from us for her first birthday in July, but we just now let her open it. She was very excited at first, but lots of times if she hears crinkly plastic or sees boxes being opened she thinks they're snacks. Barbie was ok, but I guess some crackers would have been better. She'll learn...
I cleaned some Christmas pics off my camera disk today. These cracked me up! Katy ruined lots of them with her candy cane that I gave her to model with - she threw a fit until I opened it and let her eat it. Then she insisted on brushing her teeth - a favorite Katybird pastime.

Nothing too exciting today. We did have an interesting call yesterday from our private agency. I was laughing about it today with my friend Julia. Apparently there is a birth mom who is Pagan and she's having trouble finding Pagan adoptive parents. Hmmm.... So the agency asked if we would be willing to "expose our child to the Pagan religion". What does that mean? Flash cards when she's 3 days old, and then we're done? We get all the strange ones! *Ü*
Today we stayed home and let Katy recover from her congestion, although we did snap some quick pics in the back yard with Aunt Kathy's Christmas tree. I had to do it so I could pack the tree up in the garage. As always, I thought I would get more done than I did. Peter had meetings tonight and Katy cried when he had to go. She identifies us as Mama and Dada so she can really tug at your heart strings by calling you by name. He made it home just in time to kiss her goodnight and tuck her into bed. We stood outside her door and listened as she talked to herself. She's been doing that more lately - so cute!I'm off to wake Peter up. He fell asleep on the sofa and still needs to shower for tomorrow.
