Missed again last night so here is my catch-up for yesterday. Helen stopped by and dropped off Katy's Christmas present that she made with her own two hands. It was a full-size fleece blanket that was the softest thing I've ever felt! When I opened the bag, the bottom half of the blanket fell to the floor and Katy immediately lounged on it!
After that we picked Grandma up and had lunch with Ruth, Sheila and Helen at Casa Ole. Grandma couldn't pronounce quesadilla so I had to order for her - it was too cute! Nobody played any tricks on her this time but we still had a great lunch! Katy slept through the entire lunch, all wrapped up in her new blanket like a cozy burrito in my lap. She woke up long enough to snack on a couple chips and play games with the crazy ladies at our table.

The rest of the day passed pretty quickly, but here are some shots of Miss Katybird playing outside. Even though it was cold, I could tell she was getting cabin fever so I relented for some fun play time in the grass and on the porch swing. We really need to get some play equipment out there!
And finally, during my long-winded church meeting Katy was tired and staggering around when she fell face down on the floor. Her lip was bleeding, and then she had a nose bleed. It takes a lot to hurt my tough little girl but she was crying hard. So...there's another FIRST that's out of the way! I put ice on the lip and her nose didn't bleed for long so it could have been much worse.
Hopefully I'll be able to blog tonight and get back on course...
