Katybird slept in this morning till 9am. How did she know it was Saturday? That made me really hustle to get out the door for my Houston trip. Plus I received a few phone calls so I lost my bet to Peter that I would be on time. Oh well...me being late is like gravity...inevitable and expected.
Peter had Katybootie all day and it sounds like they had fun! He let her pick out a Winnie the Pooh Pez dispenser from Walmart (sucker) and tonight she climbed up on the sofa by herself, opened the Pez, removed the candy and popped it in her mouth. Mmmmm! She doesn't ever get to have candy so she was mighty pleased with herself. When Peter came in the room and saw her holding Pez dispenser he said, "Hey, I thought I had that far enough back on the sofa seat." Our baby girl is growing up.
My day was spent in Houston with Ruth, Sheila and Helen - the birthday girl. We had lunch at Papacito's and then shopped at a nearby mall. I couldn't convince the gals to let me do a make-over on them in the Sephora store, but we had a lot of fun! Then we watched the movie "Norbit" and quoted it all the way home.
When I walked in the door Katy flew into my arms sporting wet hair and just a diaper. She was so excited to see me - I felt 10 feet tall! Peter laughed because he almost couldn't get the diaper on her in time. That could have been messy. I "jammied" her up in the snuggly Mimsy jammies and we had some fun before her bedtime.
I am exhausted and headed to bed, too.
