We had a lot of fun today! This morning Peter met us at 10:00am and we voted together as a family. I don't like Van Taylor OR Chet Edwards so I left that one blank. They are both slimey. Katy and I were in the handicap stall (for voting) because it was the only vacant one, but we didn't have to wait in line. Katy got bored with the whole voting thing. She doesn't understand the delicate balance of Democracy that our nation relies upon. We'll have to get some flash cards all about civic duty and how a bill becomes a law. So she just ran around a little and showed off for the voters.

At 1:00pm we had a date for hot chocolate at Tuscany's with Joy and Amy F. I picked the place and STILL showed up at Marble Slab. I kept telling Katy we were going to a party and we waited and waited until....my brain clicked and I threw Katy into her car seat and raced over to Tuscany's. Joy and Amy had a good laugh. Then we did something we never do...just hung out and chatted and laughed. It was so much fun! The three little ladies played and shared food. Kaitlyn ended up pulling a cigarette butt out of an ashtray and Amy caught Katy sucking on a coffee bean. Ava is the only baby who doesn't need to see the Bishop on Sunday for a stern lecture about the choices she is making in her life.

You would have thought that was enough fun for one day but we all trucked over to Target to check out their Dollar Bin. Yes, I'm sure my family is worried that I'm getting their Christmas gifts out of this section. If they don't hurry up and send me their wish list, I might just do that! Anyway, I went overboard and will probably take some stuff back. They had cute litte wooden toys that remind me of what my parents would have played with. And adorable little plastic kitchen stuff. I didn't even get any of their Christmas crafts or their Hello Kitty goodies! Seriously, we need to do that more often. Amy brought her camera so we were able to snap some pics of the ladies in action, including their three-baby maximum cart capacity shots. They are each holding a credit card. Ha ha ha ha!!

After all this fun it was back to the grindstone. Katy wouldn't take her afternoon nap. Mom stopped by to return some books and cheered Katy up for just a few minutes. Yea! Then I had to host a meeting at 7:00pm for church and it went till 9:30pm. You can imagine how much fun Katy was during that time...hmmmm.... Peter was at his own meeting so he couldn't help.

Whew! A long blog AND photos!! Katy better appreciate all this journaling I'm doing. Did you notice that I haven't missed a day yet? I'm going to try to keep my streak going until our San Fran trip in mid December. We'll see....And I'm copying Joy by picking a new cool color for my text today.

Also, heads up that the Bird and I will be headed to Houston late Thursday afternoon so we can drive Dad to his procedure Friday morning.

On a serious note, Britney Spears filed for divorce from Kevin Federline today. I know that my sisters will be sad to not be reading in the tabloids about the impending divorce each week. "Inquiring minds want to know..."

More tomorrow....

I read you blog and Joy's blog and I thought it was funny that we did most of our stuff together but we all took different things out of it. You're the bomb!
